Fire protection and emergency medical services are provided by the Village through the Nissequogue Fire Department and its Ambulance Company. The Fire Department is staffed entirely by dedicated, trained volunteers from the community. Services provided by the Department include fire protection, emergency medical services (EMS), search and rescue and vehicle extraction. The Village of Nissequogue provides the Department with a fleet of vehicles including tanker pumpers, a brush truck and an ambulance.

The Fire Department always welcomes new members. Any interested persons encouraged to attend the monthly meetings of the Department held at the firehouse on the first Tuesday of every month 8 P.M. or call the non-emergency number listed below.
